Abbey Averbode Belgium

The brothers of the Abbey of Averbode belong to the order established by Saint Norbert. That is why they are called norbertines. But they still have some names. Premonstratenzers, for example, refer to Prémontré, the French town where the order was founded in 1121. Their white habit explains the nickname withating.
