Landschaftpark

The Duisburg-Nord Landschafstpark is not a normal park, because on its 180-hectare site, industrial culture is linked with nature and a fascinating light installation that makes the park shine in brightly colored light at night. The park was built on the site of the disused metalworking company Duisburg-Meiderich. Like many other places in the Ruhr metropolis, it thus forms an industrial stage: the old factory halls, blast furnaces and Gasometer were not simply demolished, but reused in a creative, convenient and, above all, aesthetic way.
